i’m excited to announce that i’ve started featuring some of my sister witchwife
Hali Autumn’s beautiful jewelry creations in the gibbous shop!
Hali is an avid creatrix in many mediums,
and a collector of antique treasures & natural wonders.
She has also been repairing & repurposing
antique jewelry for many years, and has a wealth of
knowledge in that area i’m excited to learn from.
for the last few years, we’ve been curating events together &
made a lil community to foster them called ALVA~
i will write more about that soon but here’s the fb page if
you want to get on board before then..
https://www.facebook.com/faeryrave/
these two Hali creations are going up in the shop today;
the Ahti necklace
& the Brighid necklace
go check them out, they are beautiful..
& keep an eye out here for future treasures.
we’ll also be collaborating on some neat fashion &
film projects in the next year, which is really going to be quite epic~
wow, here after months, hello to this site.
alot has been happening in the last while.
i managed to move out of my 9 year nest in oakland
and transplant my self, cats & collections to
a magical lil cabin in olympia.
the actual move was a nightmare ( never ever rent from budget )
but thanks to two of my best comrades, Hali & Peter,
we made it here safe & sound-ish, though very very traumatized..
with 4 cats in hand & one delivered on the way to a friend in portland.
my cat friends are really into our new place but
rather annoyed they can’t run wild in the woods.
hoping to build them a lovely cattery on our porch soon..
i’m pretty sure they see faeries everywhere here
it has been slow going getting the studio set up. it’s starting to feel a bit
more like my world. i’m downsizing again, so will be offering
a lot more antique clothes & treasures in the
next months in my garage sale shop over at
https://www.etsy.com/shop/gibbousfashions
the fabric when it was still all organized. it’s gotten quite messy now..
that’s kind of a good thing though, signs of life, haha
i’ve opened commissions from now until the end of september..
then i will be on a break again until spring/summer 2018
i’m fully booked on bridal work until then as well.
send a note if you’re interested in a custom order or makeover..
Fauntleroy is really happy he got to come live with me
the foliage here is incredible, always changing
& always inspiring with it’s colour scheming..
this is the dress i’m working on at the moment..
so excited to see it done. it’ll be the first dress finished here in my new studio.
all these photos are from my instagram, by the way.

that seems be the place i update the most on the internets
lately, though i plan on being here on this site much more soon.
things have been crazy! i’m moving to the northwest in 5 days &
my house has been a whirlwind of packing, parties & beautiful visitors.
i’ve been taking of advantage of my last weeks in the bay to make
photographs with some of the lovely friends i will miss here.
i met Chelsea Friedman about 9 years ago. some friends & i moved into
an old victorian house she had started in Oakland, called Hauntington.
it was precious, spooky & beautiful.. with a dark & whimsical glamour.
it housed a revolving cast of ragged, romantic mutants, many of which
are now beloved family. it was the beginning of a very magical era for me.
Chelsea was one of my first fae friends in an intense, urban city
that wasn’t so friendly at first.. a little later i visited her in a
shadowy little shack behind the Katabatik house; it was filled with dolls,
moss & lace.. that was where she made marionettes at the time.
i quickly became enchanted by this mysterious creatrix.
she has since become one of my faery sisters.
through songs and stitches, sea talks, catdances, forest walks.
a muse & a mirror that i treasure & love.
our worlds weave together; support & inspire one another.
here is a video of her last dance performance, in the Stanislau forest..
it was the most magical experience to run through the woods & stumble upon this.
tis a visual collaboration with our friend Jonathan Bernbaum.
these are some of her incredible assemblage & puppet creations..
she hand sews all their tiny clothes!
this one is my favourite.. it feels so alive,
like it might leap off the wall to tell you a wintery limerick.
oh yea! ,,Chelsea’s work will be on display at Field Day in April.
the opening reception is April 7th from 7-10pm
if you’re in the bay, make a trip out~
there is really no substitute for seeing these beauties in person!
it’s been such a long time since i wrote here,
i’d meant to do a sort of catch-up post..
but think i’ll just jump in by sharing these photographs
i made with my friend Marie the other day.
my lil husband woke up mid shoot and had to come check her out, haha
i’m about to move from this magical spot & it feels really lovely to make
some last beauty & shoots here. there is much wonder in the works,
more news & pictures soon. excited to be back in the studio and playing dress up
greetings, website & friends! it’s been a long break for me.
i am very happy to introduce the dress i’ve just finished.
tis a wedding gown for Bethany.
i have been working on it off & on for almost 2 years! it’s really crazy.
it’s also the last commission. i will be making things strictly
out of my head for a good long while :)
this dress has a myriad of fabrics dating from the 1800s to the modern day.
it also has bits of the bride’s mother’s wedding dress sewn in.
it’s wonderful to be finished & to move forward into a new chapter..
the future looks bright. & mossy
just finished this custom dress for a wedding in Scotland..
made entirely from reclaimed antique & vintage materials, many hand-dyed.
tattered lace, velvet, and many spiderweb silk scarves were worked in.
the couple is having a handfasting in an ancient garden and forest where they live
in Scotland.. they sent me photos and it’s truly stunning.. like a real life fairytale~
annnd.. i’m exhausted. making up a lil velvet cloak to accompany it and then my plan
is to sleep for a couple days. and maybe do the dishes, haha.
