many other creative collectors..
i’m still digging in my studio trying to make space, and unearthing all kinds of treasures.
just found a stash of lovely slips & sorted my lace collection too.

just finished this sweet wedding dress for miss Katie..

the trim at the neckline is from her grandmother’s waistcoat, a victorian piece from her own wedding.

i love how this one turned out.. it reminds me of gingerbread, fairytales & old european houses.

having a lovely time working with simpler lines.. they still take a lot of work, it’s just behind the scenes :)

just started a custom wedding dress.. using some pieces from a waistcoat the bride’s grandmother wore at her own wedding.
i love stitching family histories together :)

i’ve been spending some time in the forest & on my friend’s farm this last month,
it’s really helped my spirit. being in the trees always feels healing.
they seem to dissolve much of the clamor picked up in the city.

these days my stitches are powered by beautiful (& delicious) living foods~
directing a lot of time & energy towards taking health in hand right now..
it feels really good.

time has been flying by. i’ve been immersed in the project of overhauling my home & studio (again).. sorting what to keep, what to let go of, and laying a foundation for the future. haven’t had much time to post here, so this is just a bit of a random catch-up :)

one of my bridal clients sent this picture awhile back, it seems her kitty has claimed the wedding dress! starting to suspect that my cats are sending secret messages in the clothes, around the world to their comrades. such clever, mysterious creatures these felines are.

it’s so lovely to live in a little sea of green.

it was lovely to hear from her upon receiving the dress,
she adores it & it fit her perfectly. i can’t wait to see pictures of the ceremony..

i won’t be taking on any custom orders
(besides those already scheduled) til the fall/winter..
going to devote more time to the ideas jumping around
in my head & prepare for a stint at my friend Trinity’s beautiful
store Field Day. i’ll be making a little army of beautiful simple dresses
& other garments/adornments & they will be available there during
the month of September. i’ll have more details soon..
