a gorgeous little flapper dress, concocted out of
the richest purple remnants around.
vintage lace, eyelet, checkers, stripes & slips
are all stitched together
into this lovely map of colours.
the lace is from a beautiful dress
found in new orleans by angeliska,
and the ruffles of the dress were salvaged from
over-dyed antique fans.
there are little buttons & treasures
stitched all about, and it closes in
back with a lovely hand-stitched zipper.
there are bits of 1800's velvet tatters adorning,
and little black embroidered
flowers, as well.
such a fun, flower-like dress..

there are ribbon ties for an adjustable fit,
and sweet tiers of ruffles
accentuating the bust.

the theorna faery dress is an
elegant map of antique patches.
made in the muted colours of
pale blue, cream, tan & white,
it looks like it could have risen from
the river on the body of a water spirit!
the bust is a textured decollete'
of crochet, lace, & stitches
(adorned with tiny vintage buttons,
of course).
the straps are adjustable and
the dress is slip-style,
with no zipper.
there are remnants sewn in from
the early 1900s, and there are tattered
bits of cursive writing lurking
about as well.
there is a very old thread sampler
stitched to the bottom left
of the dress for another touch
of ephemera & history.

a truly eye-catching menagerie of stars & spots,
this dress looks like it was attacked by a flower garden!
gorgeous, vintage, lime green florals are peeking out
everywhere, and stars from a vintage flag are sewn all about.
the crinoline from a 1950's dress is built in
for a great bell shape, with pale green ruffles
peeking out, too!
the bust is covered in rows of white stitches,
and the straps are delightfully asymmetrical,
looking like the dress is sprouting leaves
from your shoulders!
there is a patch from a vintage shopping bag,
it says " Quality you can trust",
has burnt edges & an elegant stitch affixing it.
the dress zips shut in the back
with a lovely magenta zipper,
and there is a children's picture-wheel
sewn on the back
(it won't last forever, but adds a touch of ephemera).
